S.E. GA. WOODWORKERS’ GUILD
Meeting Minutes—MAY 12 , 2009

 

Our regular monthly business meeting was held at the shop of Mike Rietveld at 7:30 pm.  President Mike Hanna opened the meeting at 7:40pm.; 6 members attending (Mike Hanna, Amanda Hanna, Gary Fleenor, Allen Kuhl, Mike Rietveld).
Officers:  Mike Hanna-President,
                Pat Clark-Vice-President,
                Amanda Hanna-Secretary
                Allen Kuhl-Treasurer

Opening/Old Business/Updates:
1.  The “Pledge of Allegiance” was conducted.
2.  Secretary’s Report was read and approved.
3.  Treasurer’s Report was read and approved with $1009.78 in account.
Allen passed around budget of the 2009 expenses.
4. Committee Reports:
     a. Festival Report: Crawfish Festival went well not very much money was made but several people interested in more Guild information. An email to members will be sent out to members to determine man power for the September Catfish Festival before sending in the application and fees.
  5.  A change to the bylaws; “stating the president will ultimately determine the number of at large members with a minimum of 5”. The bylaws were approved as written with the change.

New Business:
1. Gary Fleenor and Mike Rietveld were nominated as at large members; other nominations will be accepted and voted on at the next meeting.
(Meeting adjourned at 8:26pm by Mike Hanna).

Upcoming Events/Guild Meetings:
1. General Woodworker’s Meeting:  (May 16th) Saturday after monthly Tuesday Business Meeting, at 2:00pm at Mike Hanna’s shop.
2. Turner’s Meeting:  1st Tuesday each month (June 2nd) at 7:30pm at Mike Rietveld’s shop.
3. Business Meeting: 2nd Tuesday each month (June 9th) at 7:30pm at Mike Rietveld’s
4.  General Woodworker’s Meeting: (June 13th) Saturday after monthly Tuesday Business Meeting, at 2:00pm at Mike Hanna’s shop.
