5.  Meetings/Classes for Guild:  It was motioned and approved that we have quarterly work meetings scheduled for General Membership, and for Christmas (project work).  That would allow actual participation and potential for additional memberships.  Also discussed was more demos and “skills” training/teaching (such as Mike Hanna with “Cabinetry”, Russell with “Cutting Boards, etc”).  Anyone with a skill has potential to be a teacher.  These have been setup and begun.

       b.  Russell Christmas set up a class for interested members to learn “Cutting Boards”—Designing and making.

       c.  Roy Millsaps has a schedule of classes and events, also can be seen on the Guild website:  SEGAwoodguild.org

       d.  Pat Clark will be setting up classes on “Band Saw Boxes”—beginning in August, 2007 (Tentative dates:  Aug 16th, & Aug 30th).

6.  Dues:  Our dues are $20.00 per year per family, covering the period from August thru July each year (pro-rated for new members joining in mid-year).  It was discussed and voted with approval that our dues will be $35.00 per year per family (and pro-rated quarterly), beginning with August 2007, and incorporated into the By-Laws.

7.  Accreditation through AAW:

We have been unofficially approved as an organization by AAW.  Waiting on official paperwork to be a member.  Our By-Laws have been approved by our members, and the official signing of our Charter Members is in process.

New Business:

It is nearing election time again, so it was mentioned to bring nominations to this meeting, for election in July.  The nominations presented were:

     President—Russell Christmas to continue.

     Secretary/Treasurer—Allen Kuhl to continue.

With no new nominations at this time, the nominations were tabled until next meeting.
