SOUTHEAST GEORGIA WOODWORKERS’ GUILD

Meeting Minutes--

December 9, 2006

The monthly meeting of the SEGA Woodworker’s Guild for December 2006 was held on Saturday, December 9 at Mike Rietveld’s home/workshop. This was a special-called meeting in lieu of the regular monthly membership meeting, and designated as a Guild Project work day/Christmas banquet party. Beginning at 9am we were to be working on the Guild Christmas Project, making wooden toys to be distributed through the St. Marys Police Department for the needy children (similar to “Toys-For-Tots” program).

Members present:

Russell Christmas, Mike Rietveld, Mike Hanna and Amanda Shields, Tim Hattaway and wife, Curt Johnson, Steve Boily, Allen and Judy Kuhl, Bill Morgan.

Project work continued until about 3:30pm, when the dinner/banquet was to be started. The completed toys were put up, and scheduled for pickup on Dec 22 by the St Marys Police Department for distribution. On Dec 22, at Mike Rietveld’s shop, we held a presentation to the St Marys Police Department of the toys we had completed.

Upcoming Events/Meetings:

1. Turners’ meeting: Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Mike Rietveld’s shop at 7:30pm.
2. Guild general membership meeting: Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at Pat Clark’s home/shop at 7:30pm. Directions to Pat Clark’s home will be forthcoming.
