S.E. GA. WOODWORKERS’ GUILD
Meeting Minutes—AUGUST 13 , 2009
Our regular monthly business meeting was held at the shop of Mike Rietveld at 7:30pm. President Mike Hanna opened the meeting at 7:41 pm. 5 members attending (Mike Hanna, Allen Kuhl, Mike Rietveld, Gary Fleenor, Robert Adame).

Amanda Hanna—Secretary
Allen Kuhl—Treasurer
Opening/Old Business/Updates:
1. The “Pledge of Allegiance” was conducted.
2. Secretary’s Report was read and approved.
3. Treasurer’s Report was read and approved with $ 949.28 in account.
4.Committee Reports:
a. Membership Report: None.
b. Festivals Report: None
c. Website Committee: It was brought up by Allen Kuhl that Curt has requested input from the guild members on the current website.
d. Wood Turners committee: None
e. Woodworker committee: None
f. Library committee: None
6. Inventory Liaison: None
New Business:
- Dues are due for the year.
- It was mentioned that it is election time and decided that an email will be sent out to the members notifying them as well as listing email addresses for them to forward their nominations, after the person being nominated has excepted the nomination the secretary when then nomination to the entire guild.
- Also mentioned was the upcoming 2 x 4 contests, the judging criteria will be discussed at the next business meeting.

Upcoming Events/Guild Meetings:
1. General Woodworker’s Meeting: (August 15th) Saturday following monthly Business Meeting, at 2:00pm at Mike Hanna’s shop.
2. Turner’s Meeting: 1st Tuesday each month (September 1st) at 7:30pm at Mike Rietveld’s shop.
3. Business Meeting: 2nd Thursday each month (September 10th) at 7:30pm at Mike Rietveld’s shop.
4. General Woodworker’s Meeting: (September 12th) Saturday after monthly Thursday Business Meeting, at 2:00pm at Mike Hanna’s shop.
