S.E. GA. WOODWORKERS’ GUILD
Meeting Minutes—April 14, 2009

 

Our regular monthly business meeting was held at the shop of Mike Hanna at 7:38pm.  President Mike Hanna opened the meeting at 12:08pm.; 6 members attending (Mike Hanna, Amanda Hanna, Gary Fleenor, Allen Kuhl, Mike Rietveld).
Officers:  Mike Hanna-President,
                Pat Clark-Vice-President,
                Amanda Hanna-Secretary
                Allen Kuhl-Treasurer

Opening/Old Business/Updates:
1.  The “Pledge of Allegiance” was conducted.
2.  Secretary’s Report was read and approved.
3.  Treasurer’s Report was read and approved with $            in account.
Allen passed around budget of the 2009 expenses.
4. Committee Reports:
     a. Membership Report:  Member total as of April is a 27 members.
     b. Festival Report: Crawfish Festival is moving along as scheduled. The application for the Kingsland Catfish festival was received, the deadline for payment is June 1, 2009.
     c. Website Committee: Website is up and functioning.
     d. Bylaw Committee: An updated draft will be emailed to members and a preliminary vote taken from members.

 

New Business:
1. A donation to the American Cancer Society in memory of Bill and Judy Morgan’s son who recently passed away.
(Meeting adjourned at 8:15pm by Mike Hanna).

Upcoming Events/Guild Meetings:
1. General Woodworker’s Meeting:  (April 18th) Saturday after monthly Tuesday Business Meeting, at 2:00pm at Mike Hanna’s shop.
2. Crawfish Festival—Friday and Saturday -.April 24th and 25th, Woodbine.
3. Turner’s Meeting:  1st Tuesday each month (May 5th) at 7:30pm at Mike Rietveld’s shop.
4. Business Meeting: 2nd Tuesday each month (May 12th) at 7:30pm at Mike Rietveld’s
5.  General Woodworker’s Meeting: (May 16th) Saturday after monthly Tuesday Business Meeting, at 2:00pm at Mike Hanna’s shop.
